The legend that is DBD

Dan Barnes-Davies

Dan Barnes-Davies first impacted on ECYA when he turned up at Culford when he was 12 and quickly became a fixture!! When he was 16 we drafted him onto our Committee and since then he has provided vast amounts of enthusiasm, ideas, and general hard work. He was a significant member of our presenting team at Sorted and Culford and his quirky quizzes will be remembered for longer than they were understood!! He will also be remembered for his passionate embrace of health & safety responsibilities at Culford – the hi viz jacket will forever be associated with DBD!

10 years after that first encounter and the time has come for him to move on! As he is now living and working in Southampton being on the committee is no longer practical so he has resigned. Reluctantly we have to accept this – and take the opportunity to thank Dan for his huge contribution in shaping Sorted & the Easter Weekender during his time with us.

Good news is he still plans to make the Easter Weekender a fixture in his diary – so thanks DBD and see you at Culford!
